June 16–19, 2025 | Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, Boston, MA

The world’s largest gathering of the biotechnology industry is on the horizon — and Atlantic Canada will be there. BIO 2025 brings together over 20,000 global biotech leaders from more than 70 countries to explore breakthroughs, partnerships, and the business of biotechnology.

This year, the Atlantic Canada Bio-Industries Alliance (ACBA) is leading an Atlantic delegation to showcase the region’s growing strength in life sciences and biotechnology. Coordinated by the PEI BioAlliance, this mission offers participating companies access to one-on-one partnering sessions, hundreds of education opportunities, and exclusive networking events like the Taste of Atlantic Canada.

Delegates will also have the opportunity to be featured in the Canada Pavilion, take part in pre-conference workshops, and pitch their companies during the Canada Coast to Coast competition — putting Atlantic innovation on display for a global audience.

We’re grateful to the Atlantic provinces and ACOA for supporting initiatives like this that make international opportunities more accessible for startups and scaling companies — helping Atlantic Canada’s biotech ecosystem build connections, attract investment, and compete on the world stage.

NL Health & Biotech Industry Update + Networking

On June 11, Bounce Health Innovation hosted an Industry Update and Networking Event at the Co.Innovation Centre in St. John’s, bringing together HealthTech and BioTech founders, innovators, and ecosystem partners from across Newfoundland and Labrador. The evening kicked off with a detailed update on the province’s HealthTech and BioTech Action Plan, highlighting upcoming initiatives and opportunities for collaboration.

The event also featured exciting announcements, including the upcoming Procure Conference and Sequence Bio’s new study on the genetics of familial ovarian cancer in Newfoundland and Labrador families. Attendees learned how these initiatives aim to advance healthcare innovation and improve patient outcomes in the province.

Following the updates, participants connected over refreshments, exchanging ideas and exploring potential collaborations within the growing health innovation ecosystem.
