  • How to get a wireframe for an application created within a week or so.
  • How to store important data in a table-like structure and access it within an app.
  • How to utilize AI tools such as ChatGPT to perform the small amount of coding necessary.

Description

One of our premier events of the year has been the Bounce Hackathon! This Hackathon is a MedTech and health innovation-themed Hackathon that gets teams to think about and exercise a prompt relating to a major problem within the healthcare system of Newfoundland & Labrador. Teams spend the weekend working on a solution to the prompt and plan out the pitch for their solution in order to win the competition which comes with a final prize at the end. During the weekend, there are many events and activities that teams can partake in to enhance their hackathon experience during the weekend inside the facility. The hackathon is a great tool to help create new ideas, make connections, create team-building experiences, and ultimately give enthusiasts a taste of what the MedTech startup experience is all about.

For this year’s event, we encourage students to harness Data Science in order to develop a solution addressing one of many real-world challenges posed by COVID-19.
