Avalon Holographic’s At Mayo Clinic, Florida

Avalon Holographics: Bringing Holographic Visualization into Clinical Practice

At Bounce Health Innovation, we’re proud to spotlight companies turning advanced technology into practical tools for healthcare. Avalon Holographics is doing exactly that, demonstrating how true 3D visualization can transform the way clinicians plan, collaborate, and communicate.

This past August, Avalon welcomed a clinical team from Mayo Clinic in Florida to Orlando for a live demonstration of NOVAC, Avalon’s headset-free 3D holographic display. Hosted as part of the Berg Innovation Exchange, the session showcased how holographic visualization can support some of medicine’s most complex imaging and planning needs, from cellular structures to full cardiac systems.

By converting medical imaging and datasets into shared, spatially accurate holograms, NOVAC allows clinicians to view anatomy exactly as it exists in the body, rather than interpreting it through flat screens. This capability enhances surgical planning, supports interdisciplinary collaboration, and opens new possibilities for medical education.

Beyond clinical teams, holographic visualization also has the power to reshape the patient experience. With Avalon’s displays, patients and families can see and understand medical conditions in true 3D, making complex diagnoses more intuitive and improving informed decision-making. It’s a shift from explaining care to truly showing it.

Avalon’s work with Mayo Clinic reflects growing global interest in immersive visualization tools that bridge the gap between advanced data and human understanding. It’s a strong example of how Newfoundland and Labrador-based innovation is contributing to the future of patient-centred, collaborative care.

At Bounce, we’re proud to support Avalon Holographics as they continue to reimagine how medical data is experienced, understood, and applied in real clinical settings.

PragmaClin

PragmaClin: Revolutionizing Parkinson’s Care from Newfoundland and Labrador

At Bounce Health Innovation, we are proud to support trailblazing companies that are reshaping healthcare through innovative solutions. One of our standout success stories is PragmaClin Research Inc.—a health tech company based in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador—that’s turning heads with its groundbreaking approach to neurological care, starting with Parkinson’s Disease.

Founded in 2020 by Memorial University PhD student Bronwyn Bridges and Parkinson’s patient advocate Gord Genge, PragmaClin was built from both lived experience and academic insight. Together, they set out to address one of the most significant gaps in Parkinson’s care: timely, accurate, and accessible patient assessments.
